Membership in Bucks Woodturners brings you into contact with a large number of other woodturners, and no matter what your specific interest is (segmented turning, hollow vessels, bowls, etc.), you'll find someone who also specializes in that, and who will willingly share their knowledge.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced turner, seeing the work of others, and then discussing it with them, or watching them actually do a demonstration will generate new ideas for you to apply to your own work. Also, the HOW (Hands On Workshops) series where members teach specific turning techniques in day-long sessions will help enhance your abilities. Just one word of warning if you are a beginner--this stuff is definitely addictive!
If you want to learn more about the club check out this Bucks Woodturners Overview or our New Member Introduction.
Your membership fees go toward bringing great demonstrators in throughout the year for both our general meetings and special workshops. We also provide support to the Bucks Workshop and prizes for aspiring wood artists of the Fine Wood program at Bucks County Community College.
