It was an amazing show! Miriam Carpenter gave us a detailed look into how she makes her fantastic feathers. When you first learn these feathers are made of wood and realize how delicate they are, you are very impressed. When you see what goes into their making, the inspiration, the planning, and the execution, you are blown away.

We are now less than a year away from the first ever Mid Atlantic Woodturning Symposium.  You are probably aware that we have our demonstrators and the facility lined up, and we are currently working to line up vendors for the trade show and prepare audio video equipment.

Bucks Woodturners participated in the Village Renaissance Faire on September 19 and 20th. The Faire provided an opportunity for members to display and sell their work, and interact with the  community to show what wood turning is all about.

This demonstration was an opportunity that came along at the last minute. Thanks to the hospitality of Matt Overton and Mike Kehs, Dick had a nice place to rest his head and a beautiful shop to demonstrate in.

The May meeting was certainly the place to see how much fun a Hands-On-Workshop could be.  In past years, HOWs would be held at member's workshops as an opportunity for newer members to get some one-on-one instruction in some aspect of turning. This year, the club extended the season, and included something new- the mini-HOW.

Barry Gross stopped by our April Meeting and gave us a great demonstration on how to stabilize wood and then use those pieces to make an elegant bangle.

At our February meeting Bob Rosand demonstrated an elegant box that his friend Ed Moore showed him some time ago.
